Hello everyone and welcome to day 3 of Blogmas. Today I’m going to talk about what I plan on reading for the month. I’m sure I’ll read other books as well, but these are the physical books and one audiobook that I will definitely be making sure to get through.
Julie and Julia: My Year of Cooking Dangerously by Julie Powell. I started this book last month but never got around to finishing it. I’m around halfway through it so it won’t be too bad to finish it this month.
The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow. I’m currently listening to the audiobook of this and so far it’s quite enjoyable. I’m getting some The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe feels from parts of it. I’m around half finished right now and am curious to see where things go.
Let it Snow: Three Holiday Romances by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle. I just got my first snow Sunday night and it still hasn’t stopped so between that and Christmas coming up later this month, this is a perfect pick. I’ve also never read anything from any of these authors so it’ll be a nice introduction to them.
The Best Lies by Sarah Lyu. I received this book a while ago in a Goodreads giveaway and keep forgetting to read it. I want to be better about reading the ARCs I receive, both physical and ebooks so this is the start of me getting through them.
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. This is by far my favorite book and it’s been far too long since I’ve read it. But the main reason I want to reread this during the month is…
Meg & Jo by Virginia Kantra. I just received my pre-order of this yesterday. When I first heard about this modern retelling of Little Women I had to get it. I’m really hoping that I enjoy it because Jo is my fave.
You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. I also won this in a Goodreads giveaway and it just arrived yesterday. I haven’t read anything from this duo yet but they have multiple books I’m interested in. I know that it doesn’t come out until March 2020 but I just want to make sure I don’t do the same thing to this book that I did with The Best Lies.
Last but certainly not least…
A Christmas Carol and Other Holiday Treasures by Charles Dickens. If you don’t read this classic nearly every Christmas than I don’t want to know you. I’m just kidding. But I still think you’re a bit strange. I got this copy earlier this month in my Coffee and a Classic subscription and absolutely love this cover.
So that’s everything that I plan on reading this month for sure. Will other books get added throughout the month? More than likely. But this is the list I have to get through. What are you reading this month? Anything holiday related? Let me know.
