May TBR. I’m Back

Hello everybody! I’m back! Sorry for being MIA on here for so long. I was in a bit of a writing and reading slump for a bit and just couldn’t think of being up the motivation to do anything on here. I’m trying to be better and get back into the swing of things.

I hope you are all doing well though during these times and have managed not to go crazy being stuck at home.

Now to get into the meat of things. What am I planning on reading this month? Or more like, what did I pick that I’d like to read this month but probably won’t read all of them and end up getting off track a bit at some point lol.

Three of the books I would like to read I am still waiting on showing up in the mail. They are my BotM picks.

BotM you rarely let me down with good options.

As you can tell from the picture, I am in a bit of a romance mood. As I was looking through my bookcase to find some romances, I realized that I didn’t have all that much and needed to fix that. I’ve heard wonderful things about Helen Hoang’s books and found the premise of The Boyfriend Project interesting so now I have three more romances coming my way.

Now for the books that I already owned and hope to also get through this month.

Currently own TBR

I started Steve Jobs last month and am currently half way through with it. I had also read Priory of the Orange Tree last month for a book club so this big boy is taking me longer than planned. I am thoroughly enjoy it though and love all the knowledge I’m gaining about Jobs, Apple, and Pixar.

I also just started Tigers, Not Daughters by Samantha Mabry. I was sent a finished copy by the publisher last month and meant to get to it then but never did so it’s a priority right now along with Steve Jobs. So far it’s ok but I’m hoping it gets more interesting as I get further. Currently about 100 pages into that.

Other than the previously mentioned two books, everything else I’ve chosen is a contemporary romance and most of them I’ve owned for quite a while. I’m trying to be better about reading the books that I own physically so that I can donate everything that I don’t love and want to read again in the future. Really need to get my TBR down as well as clear up room on my bookcase so I can better organize it.

So what are you guys reading this month? If you’ve read any of these already, what did you think? If you’re planning on reading any of these, which ones?

That’s all for today. I’m kind of out of the swing of things and don’t want to ramble on too much here. So as always, stay spicy 🌶
